The new shell still uses 3Force technology, but the supporting exostructure is now molded in a honeycomb pattern for lightweight strength. The new liners sport new asymmetrical EVA support around the back of the maleoli, and the cork is now black (must have been quite a trick to get the trees to change over from the traditional tan). The Speedmachine 3 boots also incorporate a flex adjuster mechanism that lets you choose from 3 potential stiffness ratings.
